There has been a study where rhesus monkeys were used to power a robot in Japan. The experiment was two monkeys with sensors attached to them were walking on a treadmill. The scientist found that the robot does move and when they stopped the treadmill the robot was still walking because the monkeys were continuing to think about walking. This sparked a new idea on how paralyzed civilians can walk again. Scientist found a neuron in the monkeys cerebral that allowed them to walk. Hopefully, in about a year people who are incapable of even standing will be able to move their legs to walk.
This is an outstanding discovery. Thanks to these monkeys people around the globe will be able to use their legs again. As long as the scientists are not hurting the monkey I am okay with the experiment.
