Chicago fights rise in teen murders

In Chicago there have been more than 50 deaths involving gunfire between students and gang members. Chicago civilians are afraid to go out their own house. Even school transportation is dangerous. Buses have been dubbed " Operation Safe Passage." This is seriously extreme. The city of Chicago is doing a lot to prevent any more deaths. They have established a curfew for every civilian. For weekdays teens have to be home by 10 and weekdays 11.

I think that if murder rate was this high between gangs and the innocent then I would personally move. I don't understand the hate going on in this area. The measures are so high that the mayor had to set up a curfew. The mayor also had to establish a way to safely transport students.

A mother and her four children were murdered in their home in Iowa. Police suspect that the killer used a gun. The suspected killer is said to be a banker. The bank was reported to be missing $560,000, the banker was also the vice president and controller of: Hills Bank & Trust. Sueppel is the accused. At 6:31 a.m. a police dispatch received a message saying to come to the address immediatley. When police arrived they found the door unlocked and five bodies inside. On a nearby highway a car caught on fire supposebly the victims vehicle. The license plate of the suspect was thought to be 501 BLO. Police aren't sure if this is the license plate number of the burnt car.

There are many incidents like this all over the world. A comment on the page was talking about the second amendment. Even if guns were taken, anything can be used as a weapon. The world is still a dangerous place.

Male Nurse Murdered Patients with Insulin

Colin Norris was found guilty for murdering four patients under his care. He was thought of as a serial killer,since he only murdered the weak and elderly. He dosed them with insulin. Insulin is an animal hormone that regulates the sugar take within the body. Norris overdosed the diabetic patients and caused them to go into a fatal coma. Police said that he seemed almost arrogant, since he was very aggressive. Even in court he showed no emotion but admitted he killed the four diabetic women. The patients he killed were well over 75 years of age. One of the victims was Ethel Hall, she slipped into a fatal coma- which Norris predicted, and at age 86 died. At the time of her death " tests later showed about 12 times the normal level of insulin in her blood."
Doris Ludlum, 80, Bridget Bourke, 88, and Irene Crooks, 79, were similar cases. Not only was Norris convicted for those four murders but also an attempted murder of Vera Wilby, 90.

Collin Norris scares me. Not only did he carefully pick the people he was going to kill but he made sure they died. Now I am sort of afraid of hospitals. There are so many horrid people in the world now hospitals aren't even safe.

Suicide Bomber Kills 40 in Iraq

On Sunday the Shiite pilgrims were taking their religious walk to a Shiite shrine south of Baghdad.
As they were taking a break a suicide bomber killed 40 and wounded 60. Later that day in Iskandariyah "pilgrims traveling to the holy city of Karbala to mark Arbaeen, the end of 40 days of mourning following the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein" who died from the attack. In the neighborhood of Dora Sunni were believed to attack Shiite pilgrims earlier Sunday. With hand grenades and small bare arms, they killed at least three and wounded about 36.

This is all happening because of a lack of communication. If we learned to get along and accept each other's differences in religion and looks there would definately be a decrease in the amount of deaths in the world.

U.S. to seek death penalty for 9/11 suspects

In Washington the U.S. military seeks to press criminal charges against the six top possible al-Queada suspects. This includes the mastermind behind the 9/11 Khalid Sheik Mohammed. If convicted under the military commission system, they will face the death penalty. They will be charged for suicide hijacking and "murder in violation of the law of war."
The others charged are:

* Ramzi bin al-Shibh, who allegedly helped find the flight schools where the hijackers were trained.

* Mohamed al-Qahtani, thought to be the so-called "20th hijacker" who was refused entry into the United States at the Orlando, airport a few weeks before the attacks.

* Ali al-Aziz Ali, accused of funneling thousands of dollars to the hijackers to finance flight training and living expenses in the U.S.

* Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawawi, alleged to have assisted hijackers in obtaining credit cards and western clothing.

* Walid bin-Attash, accused of arranging training for hijackers in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

It is really stupid why they kill themselves in order to prove to the world that their religion is key.

Six missing after Ga. sugar refinery explosion

A sugar factory exploded! This caused the whole building to catch fire and stay on fire for almost a whole day. Many of the 33 workers had third degree burns but didn't mind it because they were more worried about the safety of their friends. 27 of the 33 workers were counted, six were missing- presumably dead.

I never knew a sugar factory could explode. Much less cause severe damage to so many workers. This was a big surprise, hopefully the missing are found alive.

There are so many crazy people in the world. These crazy people take out their problems on innocent people. These innocent people are killed leaving their families to face the world alone, with a hole in the pit of their hearts. Randal Simmons was one of the many of innocent people who are killed in the mist of a scene. An unidentifyable suspect had killed three of its relatives around 9 pm Wednesday night. He admitted his crime to a SWAT building, then he took aim at two men in the same room. He killed one of the officers, Randal Simmons, leaving the other one injured. Later at around 6 pm Jim McDonnell exchanged gun shots with the suspect killing him on the scene. James Veenstra the officer injured by the maniac was rushed to the Northridge hospital and is undergoing surgery. He is expected to survive.

People like the killer in this article deserve to die. They are selfish enough to kill innocent people for no reason. Many victims of situations like this one do not deserve to die. They are good people that were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Heath Ledger- actor, died because of an accidental prescription drug mix. This actor who played a role in Brokeback Mountain. He was 28 when he died. His body was found in the apartment he rented in Manhattan. He died because he mixed different drugs like Oxycontin, Valium, and Xanax. Medical experts found sleeping medicine and painkillers in his blood stream.


It is not good to mix even prescription drugs. Even a small dose of mixed drugs could cause a person to die. DRUGS ARE BAD. That is all I have to say.

The unbeatable New England Patriots were finally defeated. At first the epic game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots seemed to be cased closed, but it took an exciting turn near the finally of the game. With 2 minutes and 42 seconds left it seemed like another win for the Patriots 14-10. When all hope was almost lost the Giants kept going at it and with a 12-play, 83-yard pass to Plaxico Burress at the corner of the end zone - TOUCHDOWN. Leaving the final score an unexpected 17-14, creating history in the field of national football. The Patriots didn't know how to respond to this loss. They expected to win but this time the underdogs came and took victory.

This is an amazing victory. What is even greater is that this showed that the underdogs can defeat the champions anytime anywhere if they just try. Another cool thing is that my "uncle" (really just my dads friend) used to play for the Giants, so this is exciting news to him.

Reports and studies say that a record number of suicides of soldiers has happened in the war in Iraq. I do not deny this statement. This was that is going on in Iraq makes no sense. George Bush has traumatized their souls making them go crazy and driving them to death. The amounts of suicides has increased six times the amount since the beginning of the war. That is an increase of 20% of the total suicidal deaths of soldiers.

The whole war is stupid. No wonder so many people are dying in the hands of George W. Bush. It is a good thing that the 2008 presidential election is arriving shortly. Hopefully, whoever is the new president will do a way better job at controling the country than Bush.

Thailand has finally took control of its way of government. They have elected a prime minister, Samak Sundaravej, therefore letting their form of government be a democracy and not ruled by the military. The thai press, intelligentsia, and civil right groups highly resent him and his was of ruling. They say that in a few months they will get him out of office. He is being resented because of his extreme usage of profanity and his support for deadly crackdowns on peaceful protesters.

Leaders like this should not even run for office. These types of unqualified leaders may end up like Hitler and George W. Bush. The lives of innocent people are put to danger.

Thanks to green house emissions global warming has increased a great amount. Therefore, scientist are cutting green house emissions in half. Because of global warming heat has been trapped in the earth's atmosphere and water, making the agriculture in the world harder to grow since the heat is so intense. A lot of carbon dioxide is being released, yes plants do feed off carbon dioxide and the sun, but overexposure to them will kill them.

Global Warming is a serious threat to the world and all it's inhabitants. We are the ones causing the earth's temperature to rise and we are the ones who are going to pay for it. In order to save ourselves and our future generations we must do whatever we can do abolish it.

Scientific research is concluding that the warm tempurature caused by the earth's atmosphere heating up, is causing a reduction in tropical hurricanes. This is affirmed because: warmer salt water is causing a malfunction in the atmosphere causing a decrease in the amount of tropical hurricanes. This could cause a landfall in the land in the United States.

There are goods and bads coming from this. One there will be less deaths caused by hurricanes, specifically tropical hurricanes, but that means Global Warming does exist and may strike a powerful blow to the Earth at any given moment.

Bush has made about 232 utterly wrong statements about Saddam Hussein and Iraq not mention 28 about Iraq's links to the al Qaeda. His companions and assistants have done no worse. Powell had made 244 about weapons and 10 about Iraq and the al Qaeda.

I have no idea why his lies weren't questioned in the first place. I also have no clue why the Judicial and Legislative Branches didn't see through his phony facade and impeached him: for the murder of millions and the emotional damage done to the entire world.

How can people kill whales they are such mysterious yet beautiful animals. A Japanese ship named the Yushin Maru No. 2 planned to kill about a thousand innocent whales. Thanks to two men: Briton Giles Lane and Australian Benjamin Potts the Yushin Maru No. 2 might just get sued for kidnapping, piracy, and even terrorism. These two men were kept on the ship for three days. They snuck onto the ship to capture footage of what the crew was doing.

I really don't like the fact that people could be so cruel as to the fact that they are willing to kill families of whatever kinds of animals. Leaving the children of the families without parents, or the parents without their own flesh and blood. It is really sad how people can take advantage of the weapons we have today. I don't even like to eat meat or eggs or fish because I know that in order to obtain that food they had to kill an innocent animal. It sucks because my parents force me to eat everything on my plate. Usually I would stay away from poultry.

A plant that flowers itself to death?! Well, it is true. In a limestone farm a huge palm tree taller than a six story building, and as wide as 1.5 feet was found. A French couple were stopped in their tracks by the size of this majestic tree. They found this tree in Madagascar. After this humongous plant produces hundreds of flowers nectarine, the flowers get pollinated and turn into fruit which kill the palm. The scientific name of this plant is Tahina spectabilis in the language of Madagascar it means " blessed ".

This is a really extraordinary discovery. It only it didn't die after giving birth. This shows that scientists are getting closer to the mysterious world of plants.

Monkey Brains In U.S. Make Robot Walk In Japan

There has been a study where rhesus monkeys were used to power a robot in Japan. The experiment was two monkeys with sensors attached to them were walking on a treadmill. The scientist found that the robot does move and when they stopped the treadmill the robot was still walking because the monkeys were continuing to think about walking. This sparked a new idea on how paralyzed civilians can walk again. Scientist found a neuron in the monkeys cerebral that allowed them to walk. Hopefully, in about a year people who are incapable of even standing will be able to move their legs to walk.

This is an outstanding discovery. Thanks to these monkeys people around the globe will be able to use their legs again. As long as the scientists are not hurting the monkey I am okay with the experiment.

Hilary has the help of her husband ex. president Bill Clinton, who is sending " Obama was a drug abuser " message to the world. While Obama is sending " Hilary is a hypocrite " message across the globe. In Bill's message the truth behind it is Obama did indeed use drugs when he was younger and wrote a book about it: "Dreams from My Father". It tells a story about how he was a pothead and a junkie. While the truth behind Obama's message about Hilary: "Clinton ... rewriting history in her complaints about his voting record on Iraq."

The campaign for presidency is really heating up. I personally go for Barack Obama to win the competition on February. At least George W. Bush won't have power any longer. Although, he didn't use his power except when he was taking the lives of many. The rest of the time he was playing golf.

China finds it an outrage. Weng Wei was beaten to death by an inspector. Police are inspecting more than 24 inspectors and more than 41 possible suspects. Weng Wei was an executive of a construction company. The death of this 41 year old has sparked the anger in the chinese towards inspectors. During a protest Wei took out his phone and started recording it. About 50 inspectors came and beat him. "He was beaten to death for doing something which is becoming more and more common and which was a way to expose law-enforcement officers who keep on overstepping their limits."

This is just crazy. It is not right to beat a person to death just for filming. China has a right to be angry. Hopefully the inspectors will get a proper punishment for their behavior.

In Monticello Indiana snow is melting and there are many heavy rains (This was done in Wednesday). Hundreds of homes were flooded; it was reported that five people have died because of the flooding and because tornadoes (This was on Tuesday). These are unusual temperatures in the month of January. Two of the victims of the tornadoes on Monday and Tuesday were young siblings.

This is most likely the cause of Global Warming. Due to Global Warming snow is melting causing more precipitation causing more rain and floods. We need to end it before the lives of more innocent people are taken away.

8 Killed, 20 Injured in Utah Bus Crash

The heading speaks for itself. In Mexican Hat, Utah there was a crash siting. So far 8 were killed and 20 were injured. It was said that the cause of the accident was probably caused by the rain which left the street wet, making it slippery. This caused the bus to come spinning down a hill. The bus was filled by about 51 skiers returning from their trip. The report also said that another bus collided, it was a school bus. There were 11 students and the bus driver. Luckily no one was killed or injured.

The report is kind of foggy and unorganized. If my information is wrong I blame the article. Either way, it is sad that people were still unlucky enough to have been killed.
